Help Needed Now
26|Jul|2010 1You mention one source of getting help for back pain is with a chiropractor. Occasionally you will read a story in the press on how a session with a chiropractor has actually done more harm than good. Granted, these can be rare events, and the press loves jumping on stories like this, but I would love to hear your comments on the pros and cons of consulting either a chiropractor or physiotherapist.
Back Pain Relief
26|Jul|2010 2Hi Peter
Simple – find a good one. Every profession has good practitioners and those not so good. The difference between a good physio and a good chiro is just the spelling of their name. We tell our international clients to apply the “Sugar Test” which is a away of finding a good practitioner, one who will help you to their best always. Simple to do – go ask them for 5 minutes of their time to talk about your condition. No 5 minutes then will they spend the time you need to get better. There are a few more things to use in the sugar test, but as for who is best.
The practitioner that helps you to remove your pain. Physio’s now adjust the spine an dChiro’s will work on muscles and exercises. The lines are blurred – except for the line of good and bad.
I hope this wasn’t too vague or cryptic, but a good practitioner whether they be physio, chiro, acupuncture, acupressure, bowen, massage, osteo or your medical doctor is still a good practitioner. Find someone who gives you their time and is good for you.
Cheers
