Lower back pain is the most common form of back pain. It is created by a combination of tight muscles, weak muscles, joint tightness and pelvic imbalance. Combined these create your lower back pain.

On the internet today, you will see many ways to remove lower back pain, all promising to be done in 3 easy steps, or 2 weeks to be free of lower back pain, etc.

Actually there is only one step you need to follow to remove lower back pain. The one step if performed properly will remove lower back pain and best of all stop it returning.

First you need to understand why it will work and why it is so simple…

When you hurt your foot or knock a toe, you limp – fact. You limp for the very reason that taking pressure off the area allows it to heal faster and more effectively. Your body alters your posture and alignment to take pressure off one side and place it on the other side of your body.

You limp for a while, your foot feels better, it heals quicker and then you rebalance again naturally.

With lower back pain there is one major problem…

You do not have another side to limp on. A major flaw in the design of your body, but if you hurt your lower back, you cannot limp. There is no other side to take the pressure, you can not change posture to take pressure off the joint (lying down of course will help), so the joints and muscles get no relief.

Actually, this is not strictly true!

Your body does try to take the pressure off the lower back. What it does is twist your pelvis – your pelvis twists to ease the pressure on the joints. This allows them time to heal. The problem is this – if the initial injury takes more than a week or two to heal, your pelvis will stay twisted due to the habitual nature of your body.

So even though the original injury has healed the twisting remains.

The next time you injure your lower back, the twisting occurs further – you have the original twist and now a new episode. This again may take a while to heal, so more twisting occurs in you pelvis to stay long term.

Eventually due to the twisted pelvis, minor knocks, falls, lifts or whatever triggers off your lower back pain. The twisting in your pelvis actually now allows lower back pain to occur easier and more frequently.

This is why you look at the incident that triggered your lower back pain and wondered why such a small object you lifted, or the daily task you did, created so much pain. Even research has proven that the trauma people say caused their lower back pain is never enough to cause the actual pain.

What they are saying is that the activity you did is minor and there is no way it should have created your lower back pain. Well…

It didn’t. It was the build up of pressure on your spinal joints and muscles created by the tension from your twisted pelvis that caused your lower back pain!

Phew

Now you know why your pelvis is so important to correct. So onto the ONE Step cure for lower back pain.

The ONE step cure for lower back pain is simple. Realign your pelvis, make sure it is in balance and then all the pressure comes off your lower back joints and muscles and lower back pain will disappear.

Your pelvis is one area that most practitioners do not treat or try to fix. I know as I am a Chiropractor. The reason why Chiropractors, Physio’s, Osteopaths and all structural therapists do not treat your pelvis is: it makes your lower back pain disappear and not come back and secondly it is best treated at home. Why?

To untwist your pelvis you need to retrain it to stay balanced. This needs a daily application of a technique that realigns your pelvis. You can learn it your self, but it needs to be done daily for a week or few, to change the habitual tightening and twisting in your pelvis.

Practitioners do not work every day of the week for weeks on end. You would not want to see a practitioner every day, just think of the cost. However, it is not necessary, as you can do this at home, easily and quickly. It only takes a few minutes each day, lying down and you can do it even watching TV.

If you want to be free of lower back pain, you must use ONE step – untwist your pelvis. Sure you should still look at the tight and weak muscles, target a few joints and the other factors that relate to lower back pain. But unless you fix your pelvis lower back pain will remain or return again soon.
