Now I know a lot of you reading this back pain relief article are a little confused. Actually most of you are a lot confused to be blunt. Why?
You hear all the time on the internet or even from your very own practitioner, which techniques work and which don’t. Read on to find out the truth on back pain relief, the half truths you are told and the simple answers.
Yes you are told half truths all the time, it is obvious why. Everyone wants you to buy something, whether it is an eBook on the internet or a service from a practitioner. Each will say they are the best and there is no other option pen to you if you want to relieve back pain quickly.
Don’t be fooled though. You can see via all the forums, social web pages and even on the streets, some techniques are just downright useless.
But which ones? Which ones will not help you relieve back pain?
First, can I tell you some new boring statistics I was sent the other week? It stated that of all the people who have back pain today, only 25% of those in ONE YEAR will be pain free. The rest will be the same or worse, and this statistic included those who sought treatment or help.
It’s almost better to just go and buy a lottery ticket and hope or pray.
What is my point, why should you read anymore with those sorts of results. These stats certainly help to demonstrate that a lot of techniques out there are actually …
But wait, they can’t be all useless, surely. In fact they aren’t, most of the people you seek for help are doing their best to help you. Sure they are still trying to make a living whether on the internet or in business on your community.
The problem is not what they do, but what they don’t do. Every back pain relief therapy is told the same B.S line from their professors and teachers. They are told “what you do is the best, there is no other as good as what you do”.
I know, I was fed the same line a Chiropractic College. But it isn’t true. Why?
No one technique fits everyone. This is why you will see on the chat rooms, forums, and social pages that Chiropractic is rubbish, two lines later someone will say Physiotherapy is worse, or Osteopathy, massage and yes even medicine.
So if they are all rubbish, who do you see?
Actually the answer lies in this one saying I absolutely love…
“If you are a hammer, everything is a nail”
This means if you only have one technique, you can only fix one problem. Back pain relief is not just one issue. Your back pain can come from muscles, joints, posture, stress and general health. If all you do is stretch, don’t expect to be part of those 25% in no pain after a year.
If you want long term back pain relief, if you really want to relieve back pain, you must use a combination of techniques.
You need to balance your muscles, – stretch those that are tight and strengthen those that are weak. You have to realign your spine and balance your pelvis. It is important to relieve stress and improve your general health. And you need to exercise, not a lot but you need to be active.
Back pain relief may sound difficult and time consuming, but if you want to have the results, you need to spend about 17 minutes each day for a week or two. Then as you progress, you can spend less time fixing and more time preventing with some exercise and getting more active.
But when you don’t have back pain, you want to get outside and enjoy life again don’t you. Back pain relief is simple, it is not time consuming and it can be easy, if you address all the issues that cause your pain.
