I was reading an article recently over at Kelseypub.com about chronic back pain. Although the survey was done in 2003 and the statistics then were not good, I’m sure they are worse now.

The article went on to say that people with chronic back pain were likely to suffer from stress such as depression. In fact it stated that one in five (20%!!) of those with chronic back pain had depression diagnosed, some even thought of suicide.

This may seem a little drastic for those of you who have minor back pain. However chronic back pain is no laughing matter. Imagine having all your days in constant pain, with no help or cure. Waking up every day and not being able to look forward to any part of your day – because your chronic back pain stops it all.

The report even went on to say that the doctors are reluctant to offer medication, it only ever is a temporary fix for their stress … and you still have your back pain.

The article at Kelseypub.com really brings it home to those who currently have back pain and are wishing and hoping it never becomes chronic.

Chronic back pain is stressful, it can and often will cause a change in moods. Your life has changed and looking forward to a “rosy” future for most seems highly unlikely.

However there is hope, there are ways you can help yourself. People are turning to natural therapies to help with stress; they are also going there for back pain relief. The orthodox way of back pain relief is failing.

You hear reports of Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Medicine, Physiotherapy and even massage as only offering temporary relief. Sure they have their successes, but the internet is full of people searching for help.

Why?

The fear of chronic back pain, of potentially ending up needing surgery, or being elderly and not able to enjoy life because of chronic back pain. There are thousands of people who have tried the many structural practitioners … and still have back pain.

Chronic back pain is a habitual process. The only way, yes the ONLY way, you can stop this is by changing habits. This does not mean lifestyle changes or giving up things you enjoy. It means you need to do daily techniques to retrain your body to not have chronic back pain.

Seeing a practitioner may help, but you cannot see them every day of the week to retrain your body to heal. Unless you want to spend a fortune. Learning simple ways to remove chronic back pain is your best approach for chronic back pain relief.

Don’t end up like so many others … Chronic back pain is depressing and stressful. You can learn from others though and prevent it before it happens.
